| UGH, i just lost my whole long post! So frustrating! Here we go again... somewhat truncated version of my lost post:
So, I have been trying to find a shampoo that won't leave my hair as dry and frizzy.... My hair is exceedingly thick and coarse which means that when I wash it it becomes dry and frizzy. So much so that I can only wash my hair every 3 days or so and on that one day that I do wash my hair, guaranteed bad hair day (that 33% of the time folks!).
I recently purchased "L'Oreal Shampoo and Conditioner for Women of Color" I know what your thinking... Adam you are neither a woman (no comments needed here folks) nor are you technically "of color" To that I say, I may not be a woman of color, but my hair sure is. Says right on the bottle for "incredibly dry, coarse and frizzy hair" The results of these new products have been mixed.. my hair is definitely not as dry following a shampooing and conditioning, but it is still frizzy (and huge might I add)... I will continue to use these products and see if after time things improve. Unfortunately, I am used to initial excitement over new hair products followed by disappointment when the promise isn't kept. I would really like to find a hair care product that works for my crazy ass hair that isn't $20 a bottle or more.

| I know y'all were thinking I'd given up xanga completely, but here I am. The lack or posts is mostly due to my continuing saga of no personal Internet connection. I gotta get that fixed. And I don't usually feel like staying up at work the extra time to post stuff (i usually just want to run from the place).
So on with the update..... I purchased an IPOD which I am very excited about and which I really couldn't afford.. but I needed a little pick me up. My personal and professional lives have been down in the dumps a bit lately so what's better than an extravagant purchase to bolster the spirits. I need a job that appreciates me and one that I appreciate. There isn't any satisfaction in restaurant management. I'm not really helping my fellow human. I am only helping a crazy woman fulfill her dream (which is apparently to run a fabulous restaurant on the backs of the indigent). I leave feeling empty.. which might explain the lack of a love life as well. No one wants a dried up tired guy with no soul.
Jesus, could this get any more depressing... really I'm not that sad, just need a change... and it's all in the works... hopefully I'll be back in school by the Fall and life will have taken a 180 or so.. patience Adam patience...
Jamming out to my IPod.. yippe!
Bonus Question: Who wants to go on a Caribbean vacation with me?
| I'm so tired. I wish I were still on vacation. My boss told me I don't do enough at work and I don't work enough. I work 60 hours a week. I can't work anymore than that. | | |
| I'm back. Did you miss me? I know I missed all of you. And I can't wait to see everyone. Home sweet home.
Costa Rica has changed me... for starters im about 5 shades darker than when I left. One day on the beach at 8 degrees above the equator will fry your skin like bacon.
Costa Rica was the a rain forest that spills into a beach exploding in color and exotic life. I saw parrots, toucans, spider monkeys, sloths, iguanas, hermit crabs, butterflies in every imaginable color and size, 8 foot waves, fields coconut trees, hills covered with coffee plants, mountains covered by the rainforests, surfers, naked sun bathers, old friends and new ones. Too much to explain in one post or even one hundred.
Peter and Katy's ceremony was breathtaking... at sun set on the beach with a sea breeze, everyone dressed in coral and white linen (and tears of course). I can't begin to thank them enough for giving me the experience of a life time.
Pictures will come soon, some of us still have to get film developed the old fashioned way.
